Name: Annette Clarke
Teams represented: Galway
Typical weekly training / game schedule: 3 collective sessions with county.
Favourite Manager and why: PJ Fahy.
Sporting Hero: Brian O’Driscoll
Best thing about being an intercounty player: The challenge of playing at a top level and the professionalism with training. I have made some best friends by playing football with Galway, friends for life.
Highlight of career to date: Captaining Galway to All-Ireland in 2004.
Favourite team mate/player: Nicola and Louise Ward. Twin sisters from my club Kilkerrin / Clonberne. I have watched them play football from National School and I never thought I’d still be playing when they would break into the Galway senior team. They are the best 2 players I have ever seen play ladies football.
Hardest thing about playing at county level: Balancing my training schedule with work.
One rule you would like to change: No rule, just consistent refereeing.
Best piece of advice you’ve ever been given: Play the game to your best ability and have no regrets.
